How to care for a lacquered natural wood table TOTOKO

Each TOTOKO table is not just a wooden surface. It is the result of delicate work with natural material and careful varnishing, which emphasizes the texture of the oak and protects it for years. But even the best coating requires care. How to properly care for a varnished table so that it remains beautiful, smooth and durable?

🌿 Daily care - gently and without aggression

Wipe the surface with a soft dry or slightly damp microfiber cloth. The varnished surface does not like friction - avoid paper towels, hard cloths or abrasive materials.

For cleaning, use soft neutral products without alcohol, ammonia or abrasives. Special products for varnished wood or universal antistatic sprays are ideal. If a stain appears

Wipe up spilled liquids immediately - even a varnished surface does not like prolonged contact with water or colored drinks. A damp cloth with a drop of mild dishwashing detergent is suitable for removing stains. Do not rub - it is better to gently blot.

Shine and protection

Lacquered surfaces do not need to be treated with oils or waxes. However, once every few months, you can use lacquered furniture polish to refresh the shine and additionally protect the coating from dust and small marks.

🛠 What to avoid
  • Do not place hot dishes on the surface without coasters - the varnish may be damaged.
  • Do not use hard sponges, harsh chemicals, alcohol-based or abrasive products.
  • Protect the surface from sharp objects that may leave scratches.
  • Avoid prolonged exposure to direct sunlight - the varnish may lose its color uniformity over time.
🌡 Comfortable conditions in the interior

As in the case of solid wood, varnished tables love stability: temperature within 18–23°C and humidity 40–65% is the ideal microclimate for preserving geometry and appearance.
